Allegations of Dr. Aboujamra’s professional misconduct have been referred to what is now called the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal. It is alleged that between approximately 2015 and 2018, Dr. Aboujamra engaged in sexual abuse of and/or disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct in respect of a patient, including by: engaging in touching and/or behaviour of a sexual and/or inappropriate nature, including but not limited to touching a patient’s breasts, buttocks, thighs and vagina; making remarks of a sexual and/or inappropriate nature towards a patient; failing to provide privacy while a patient was undressing, and/or failing to provide appropriate gowning/draping; and removing and/or displacing a patient’s clothing without warning and without her consent. It is also alleged that Dr. Aboujamra engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable and unprofessional conduct in respect of a patient, including by, making inappropriate and/or unprofessional comments to a patient’s mother about the patient, including about the patient’s appearance.
