Summary:

On February 28, 2023, the Tribunal found that Dr. Safar Zadeh engaged in disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional conduct when she accessed Patient A’s medical records without her knowledge or consent, and disclosed and threatened to disclose Patient A’s personal health information.

The Tribunal ordered that:
 
1. Dr. Safar Zadeh attend before the panel to be reprimanded;
2. the Registrar suspend Dr. Safar Zadeh’s certificate of registration for five months commencing March 20, 2023;
3. the Registrar place terms, conditions and limitations on Dr. Safar Zadeh’s certificate of registration;
4. Dr. Safar Zadeh pay the College costs in the amount of $6,000 by March 30, 2023.
